PROSPERE HONORE - Filmmaker / CEO / Director

Despite a very keen penchant for creative writing and plastic art, Prospere Honore has never known that beside his medical career he would one day take the trail of filmmaking. However, after many thoughts on the huge power of the new independent cinema and numerous suggestions from friends and other people who have read his short stories, he definitely decided to try the venture of screenwriting.

In the fall of 2006, he wrote "A Bitter Kiss", a romantic psychological drama, which will later on become the first feature produced by CineArt International Pictures. Being a long time observer of the mainstream cinema, Honore realizes that the issues touching the "every day people" have been too often left aside. He thinks the independent film industry, with its basic values, is the only alternative to vehicle such issues. So, he writes stories appealing to real people and embraces this kind of cinema.

Before switching to screenwriting, Honore has written many pieces as a freelancer for magazines and newspapers; and as an art critic, he also held a cultural blog (ayitiana.blogspot.com) for a certain time. He is currently working on his presumably shocking first novel "The Penis Philosophy" which he says will be a real start of a literary career. From the prologue of this manuscript, he produced, directed, and shot a series of stills that constituted a sort of warm up for his new directing activity.

At CineArt, Honore is the visionary. he is the one who tells the stories one sequence after the other with all the movement, the colors and the sounds. He is the one who gives birth to the adventures. Yet, he is a very open-minded, down-to-earth, regular guy who believes that only a team work can succeed.

WILGUNS "BILLYJEE" CLERVAL - Marketing / Distribution

More than a decade ago, Wilguns Clerval started in the enetertainment industry as a DJ/show host on one of the most popular radio stations in Haiti. Quickly, he built a notorious reputation for himself within a large fan-base and became "Billyjee", a golden name in the airwaves. Soon after, using a longtime held business degree as a wild card, he went up the ladder from stirring the disc plateau to the program director's seat of the network.

For those who know Billyjee, this accomplishment was just one step along the way he always wanted to go. In fact, by 2002, he started to represent few solo artists and musical bands either as agent or manager. Later on, as this occupation was getting bigger and bigger, he created Zone Rouge, an entertainment management company.

In 2006, continuing his pledge into the entertainment industry, he looked toward the Haitin cinema. He became a member of the Observatoire du Cinema Haitien (translate: Haitian Cinema Observatory), a platform critic of the new dynamic Haitian cinema movement. But this bridge to the seventh art did not stop there. Later the same year, he also embraced the idea of being part of CineArt International Pictures.

Rejoining his long date friends in this venture, he quickly showed  a certain aptitude to convince people. With no doubt, no one could be in a better place than him to become the chief of the distribution department in the company. His negotiation skills make him unique. At CineArt, Billyjee is the guy who can always create a way anytime and every time.

JESSE DEREUS - Marketing Associate

While being a junior in high school, Jesse Dereus dreamt about a career in journalism. Contrarly to the majority of aspirant journalists who would like to work in television, he decided not to be in front of the camera in the news studio but behind it instead. For a year, besides his classic schooling, he took other classes in video production and distribution.

After graduating in Boston, as he could not go to the journalism school he wanted to, he registered in a bioloical science program with the goal of becoming a radiologist. However, his old dream of journalism never dies. In a period of two years, he almost "invaded" his college library and read nearly all the book in the journalism section.

In January 2006, he decided to gauge his informal learning by producing a radio talk show. He talked to his friend Prospere Honore about the project, and quickly both just went for it. A monthe later, they produce and host "Le Petit Rendez-Vous", a talk show about relationship on a community radio in Boston.

Later down the road, he rejoined his friend again and others in founding CineArt International Pictures. Jesse Dereus is a marketing associate at CineArt.
