MEET ROBIN COOK

the voice behind "Kiss Me" the soundtrack

" I was 15 when I started taking private voice lessons and started working part time jobs. After saving for two years I traveled to New York City to record my first song "Kiss Me". A year and a half after recording "Kiss Me", the song was placed as the title track for the independent movie "A Bitter Kiss".

Being a person who comes from a family of painters, sculptors, drawers, dancers, and musicians, I respect the heart and the work that goes behind every form of art and I love to check out all kinds of artwork, especially hand-made and original... The message I want to send through my music and everything I do is hope and belief in yourself.

Singing is my release, I always felt like I had a voice in singing. No matter what I was feeling I'd turn to singing and writing."

Robin Cook is a singer/songwriter/model. She is actually living in Faifax, Virginia. For more on Robin Cook visit:

ALL 'BOUT LOCATIONS

The Vickery Creek Bridge, a national and historical landmark with the Old Mill located in Rosewell, Georgia is featured in "A Bitter Kiss". Two different scenes were shot on the bridge.

The Vickery Creek Bridge crosses the Chattahoochee River.   During the Atlanta Campaign (part of the American Civil War), Roswell Mill along with the bridge were major targets for William Tecumseh Sherman's forces. He ordered Brigadier General Kennar Garrard to advance and take the mill and attempt to secure the bridge across the Chattahoochee River south of the mill.

Garrard met little resistance and secured the mill on July 5, 1864. He was not as lucky with the bridge, which Rebel forces burned in resistance.

In "A Bitter Kiss", the bridge is also used as landmark in the story as it is the place the four friends met for the very first time and stays the place they go to whenever they want to resolve a conflict.

Today, the Vickery Creek Bridge is the newest covered bridge in the state of Georgia. It is a beautiful structure built from Douglas Fir harvested in the Northwest of the United States and spans 161 feet over the Chattahoochee River.

A BITTER KISS

TOUR IT. FEEL IT. LIVE IT.

CineArt International Pictures presents " A Bitter Kiss", a film produced by Ricardo Valeus, written and directed by Prospere Honore, starring Fabre, Vegan Franklin, Miguel Lopes, Cytheria A. Jones and Claire Miller. This feature lenght film is a psychological drama, depicting the intricate universe of human nature. It is a story about love, friendship, greed, hate... all at the same time.

Marva Hudicourt (Fabre), a very nice, delightful and talented woman, dedicates herself to make her marriage a wonderful affair. She seems to exquisitely bounce over the rainbow until she starts having hallucinations regarding her workaholic and methodical husband (Miguel Lopes) cheating. Inexorably, she's losing it! But isn't it true that sometimes illusion and reality can be very close? And what if all she find after love and dedication is bitterness and dishonesty? Would she be able to love again? Slowly, she'll find comfort in an interesting man and well known artist (Vegan Franklin) who decides to bring her happiness once again. The big problem for this liaison is that the man is her husband's best friend and also her best friend's fiance. She becomes one more prey in the game of life. She must fight to survive and control her emotions.

In this movie, all facets of human mystery are exposed. The good, the evil and the in-between are crudely laid... Black and white are undefined. "A Bitter Kiss" is a story of one million feelings from people living together and apart; a deep quest for happiness.

"I really don't know what's going on with you."

LYT CAPELL: DP

say it with pictures

Lyttleton Capell has been making films since 1994. He is an accomplished Director of Photography who shoots in multiple genres and has worked in all formats from 35mm to High Definition Video. Lyt is an artist who has a passion for storytelling visually. Starting his creative career as a painter, printmaker and sculptor helped train him in use of color, composition and light and give an added dimension to his film work.

In 2008, as a true professional, Lyt joined the crew of "A Bitter Kiss" with dedication and acted as the director of photography on the project. His artistic vision and creativity are just extraordinary. On the set, Lyt has used his cutting edge mind to create breathtaking images that go with the cinematic of the story.

Yet, besides of his professionalism, Lyt also is very approachable and has a good sense of humor. He is one of those who will bring  a good laughter on the set. During the filming of "A Bitter Kiss", he often used his break time to stage little silly things with the rest of the crew and then film them. This way, he had created a series of "short little comedies" (we hope he keeps them) to make cast and crew laugh after working on intense drama scenes from the movie. Who says that sounds like a part-time shrink?
